Summertime Blue

18″ x 18″, acrylic and gold leaf on cradled birch box.

Summertime Blue is the third in my series of small-scale tree paintings that represent the four seasons. This one is evocative of a late August afternoon with its sultry colors and sweet little birds enjoying the sunshine. Textural elements and the delicate application of gold leaf add to the radiance of this piece.

The painting continues around the 1.5″ sides of this cradled birch box making it ready to hang.

This piece has been signed on the side so as not to detract from the artwork, and as with all my paintings, it includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
