This painting represents loss, grief, and the healing process. After I tragically lost four of my family members I took a sabbatical from painting to deal with the loss. When I finally went back into the studio full-time this painting flowed freely from my brushes intuitively and brought me a certain inner peace. Through this experience, I began to understand that our loved ones never really leave us. They become part of our hearts and souls and are with us forever.
