Much of my work is inspired by my travels and this painting evokes the amazing colors and gorgeous scenery that I was so enchanted with during a recent visit to the Arizona desert. Swaths of yellow ochre, burnt sienna, raw umber and a touch of gold leaf impart a southwestern vibe to this vivid piece. The darkened edges of the painting continue onto the 1.5 inch sides of this gallery-wrapped canvas making it ready to hang.
